California exporters can benefit from the State Trade Expansion Program (STEP) program,
which is designed to help increase the number of small businesses that are exporting.
In 2017, the California STEP program will include about 20 unique export promotion
activities, including domestic and market-focused marketing campaigns, customized
product/promotion localization assistance, matchmaking services connecting small
businesses to potential customers, and follow-up support to assist firms in closing deals.
Qualifying small business exporters
can use STEP grants for:
• Participation in Foreign Trade Missions and Trade Shows
• Individual Company Export Promotions
